Debit Card
- How it works: Funds are withdrawn directly from your bank account.
- Uses: In-store purchases, online shopping, ATM withdrawals.
- Technology: Magnetic stripe, EMV chip, or contactless (tap-to-pay) from your online wallet.
- Security: PIN verification, tokenization, and fraud monitoring.
Transfers
- ACH Transfers (Automated Clearing House):
- Used for direct deposits, bill payments, and transferring money between banks.
- Typically takes 1–3 business days. Same Day is available for a $15.00 fee
- Wire Transfers:
- Used for large or urgent transfers, including international payments.
- PCSB charges $15.00 for domestic wires and $50 for international wires.
- The receiving bank could also assess a fee for incoming wires.
- External transfers through online banking:
- Outgoing - Allows funds to be transferred to your account at another bank.
- Incoming - Allows funds to be transferred from your account at another bank to your account with us.
- There is a 5 day hold on all incoming external transfers.
- Internal transfers through online banking:
- Allows you to move money between accounts with us.

Please note: Our policy allows up to 9 free withdrawals from your savings account per quarter. After that, each additional withdrawal will incur a $1.00 fee per transfer.
Once you've reached the 9-withdrawal limit, online banking transfers from your savings account will be temporarily disabled. But don’t worry—we’re still here to help! Just give your local branch a call, and we’ll be happy to assist with any additional transfers.
Bill Pay
- Online Banking Bill Pay:
- Customers schedule payments to utilities, credit cards, service providers, or person to person.
- Payments can be one-time or recurring.
- Often processed via ACH or mailed checks.
- Can be accessed with PCSB One-Touch Banking
- Offers push notifications and easy tracking.
